Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how DealScout (“we”, “us”) processes personal data when you use our website and services at dealscout.stackedge.ai, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”), Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection and guarantee of digital rights (Spain), and Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (“LSSI”).

Hosting
Our application is hosted by Vercel Inc. (United States). Hosting may involve processing of technical data (e.g. IP addresses, logs) under appropriate safeguards as described in Vercel’s documentation and standard contractual clauses where applicable.
Data we process
Account and checkout data: email address and payment information processed by our payment provider (Stripe).
Service data: document text and context you submit for analysis, strictly for generating and delivering your requested output.
Technical data: server logs, security telemetry, and cookies strictly necessary for operation and security.
Purposes and legal bases
Performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)): providing the analysis you purchase.
Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): security, abuse prevention, and service improvement, balanced against your rights.
Legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)): accounting, tax, and regulatory compliance where applicable.
Confidentiality of M&A documents
Your M&A document is processed securely and is never stored after the analysis has been generated and delivered. We do not retain your full document content for archival purposes once processing is complete.
Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above. Billing records may be retained for the period required by applicable tax law (including Spanish commercial and tax rules).
Your rights (GDPR)
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing where applicable. You may lodge a complaint with the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD). Requests: hello@stackedge.ai.
International transfers
Where data is transferred outside the EEA (e.g. to sub-processors such as hosting or AI providers), we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and vendor compliance measures.
EU VAT
Where applicable, VAT is determined in accordance with EU VAT rules for electronically supplied services. Your invoice or checkout receipt will show VAT treatment as applicable to your location and our tax registration status.
